Executive Director
Sara Dunlap, Executive Director, St. Joseph's Foundation
It is a pleasure for me to serve as the Executive Director to the Foundation and Volunteer Services.
I have worked at St. Joseph’s for over 30 years. I believe in the mission of the Benedictine Sisters, that "care for the sick shall rank above all else." When the Foundation purchases special equipment or provides services to the Medical Center, we are assisting with that mission. The Board of Directors of the Foundation has diverse and committed members. They volunteer their time, energy and creativity to make a difference in the Brainerd Lakes Area. The Foundation plans and holds a Health Symposium each August and also provides Community Health Grants for local non-profit agencies. Our appreciation is extended to our dedicated board members and donors.

Charles Benson, M.D.
Dr. Benson joined the Board in March of 2006. He is a Radiologist at Diagnostic Imaging Associates in Brainerd.

Eric Davidge
Eric joined the Board in August 2003. Eric serves as President. Eric is a CPA and works at UBS Financial Services.

J.P. Elsenpeter
J.P. joined the Foundation Board in May 2005. J.P. serves as the board's Treasurer. He is Vice-President of Lakes State Bank in Crosslake.

Cheryl Gelbmann
Cheryl joined the Foundation Board in October of 2005. She is the owner of Impart in Brainerd.

Karen Johnston
Karen joined the Board in August 2006. She is the Executive Director of PORT Group Homes in Crow Wing County.

Wendy Rosnau
Wendy joined the Board in August 2004. Wendy is co-owner of Cattale’s Books & Gifts, is an author and has had nine books published. Wendy serves as the secretary on the board.

Roger Schwieters
Roger joined the Board in August 2002. He has served the board in the past as Secretary. Roger is an owner of The Boyd Lodge in Crosslake.

Debbi Thuringer
Debbie joined the Foundation Board in October of 2005. She is co-owner of Madden's Resort on Gull Lake. Deb serves as the president-elect.

Brenda Johnson
Brenda joined the board in 2007. Brenda is retired from ISD #181.

Gary Gunderson
Gary joined the board in 2007. Gary is a psychologist at Brainerd High School and the Director of PATH-MN.
